2021 Tee Time in:
The Jim Huffman Wyalusing to Washington Golf Classic
Join us as we celebrate the memory of former teacher Jim Huffman. Jim was an advocate of the annual 6th grade trip to Washington and all funds raised will support transportation costs for this annual event.
2020 Recap
We had 27 teams take to the course and we raised a total of $9,482.69 dollars for the 6th-grade trip.

Team Lord won the Jim Huffman Green and Gold Ride to Washington Golf Classic at Tall Pines Players Club in Friendsville on July 18.
Matt Lord, Greg Campbell, Shannon Lord, and Matt Wayman combined for a score of 10-under to claim championship flight honors.
A total of 27 teams were entered in the event, sponsored by the Wyalusing Area Education Foundation. It is a fundraiser for the annual trip to Washington, D.C., by the Wyalusing Valley Elementary School sixth-graders.
Team Lord faced a stiff challenge for the title under hot, humid conditions at the Susquehanna County course.
Team DC Drivers and Team Duff Mountain both turned in cards at nine-under in the captain and-crew event.
Karl Besancon, Randy Proctor, Bernie McNeilus, and Ed Wasko made up Team DC Drivers.
Doug Duffield, Alan Kinney, Scott Salsman, and Bryn Duffield were Team Duff Mountain.
Team PTW—Mario Alvarez, Trisha Nawrocki, James Brotzman, and Rick Gowan— took first-flight honors with a score of seven-under.
Team Coates—Jack Coates, Alan Coates, a score of six-under. Team Muench, including Bill Muench, Matt Muench, Ross Muench, and Mason Sterling, was third with a five-under.
In the second flight, Team Jones and Team Kenneth and Caroline Taylor Family Foundation each finished with scores of three-under.
Lyle Jones, Matt Dailey, Josh Harvey, and Rita Harvey made up Team Jones. Ralph Newton, Justin Yadlosky, Donnie Stoddard, and Eric Roberts were the members of Team Kenneth and Caroline Taylor Family Foundation.
Several special awards were presented.
Paul Krewson had the closest drive to the monument contest.
Sara Sivers had the closest to the pin and longest drive for women.
Matt Lord was the long driver for the men.
Bill Muench dropped his ball six inches from the hole—the closest in tournament history— to win the men’s closest to the pin prize.
“We have a lot of new faces which is a good thing,” noted school board member Doug Eberlin.
Thanks in part to a generous donation from the Wyalusing Valley Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, the tournament raised $9,482.69 to pay for transportation costs for the sixth grade trip, which this year has been changed to the spring.
